My church rehearses either Thursday PM or Saturday AM, but its not required to show up. We run through the day of for about an hour when everyone is there.

Ditto what Tim said, and maybe try to show up to practices if the worship leader is cool with it. It'd be a low key way to meet the whole group and see for yourself the worship leaders expectations on the players and the music.

How many drummers are in your worship team rotation? We got two main guys that play regularly. One plays drums about once a month, but he got some pipes, so he does lead vocals when he's not behind the kit. Our main drummer is a teenager who also happens to be quite good at electric guitar. He's super reliable and available, so he's on stage every week for something.

What drums do you all play on at church? We got a red 5-piece Yamaha Stage Custom from, I think, the 90's .

LOL! Maybe they passed on the china and double bass. But I bet they asked for more cowbell. 😂

Hey All! Does your worship leader prefer you play as closely to the original track as possible or do they just want you to get the essence of the song? How do you personally learn a song?
