I’ve been messing with this 5 note sticking on my Instagram feed for 85 days now. It’s funny…when you spend so much time with one sticking, it starts to come out in your playing in a lot of different ways. This short sextuplet fill was one of those happy little accidents.

The fill itself is a 9 note pattern that is repeated twice using sextuplets. This makes the whole fill 3 beats long. I like playing it at medium tempos (seems to sit better between 90-100 bpm). I give you examples of how to play it starting on beat 1 as well as starting on beat 2 in this short lesson.
