I searched the forum for this questions, but nothing came up. I’d be surprised if I’m the only one with this problem, though. Slipping sticks . . . I find my hi hat stick slipping constantly – especially at faster tempos. I’m hold at the fulcrum and have tried a number of things including tighter grip, more wrist and less arm movement, changing how I wrap my fingers, etc. I’m also wondering if the position of the hi hat has anything to do with it.

Anyway, any advice is appreciated and I would like to get this fixed soon so that I don’t learn bad habits and so this doesn’t become a source of frustration.

    Thanks!

    Hey again Ryan!

I’ll get Stephen involved in this. I know he has some great insight on stick control / how to take care of your hands.
